This is just gonna be a short and angry post as I'm running late to get to the bank and then go see my brother's girlfriend and the kids.

But ANYWAY.

As if I'm not having enough money troubles as it is at the moment, but then yesterday I receive a bank statement in the post, and oh great, somebody's spending my money abroad. And racking up a load of charges with it!

I couldn't believe it. Fair enough if these tossers want to clone somebody's card and spend hundreds of pounds of somebody's hard earned money, (well, NOT fair enough) but why the hell pick on a student who's bound to have no bloody money anyway!

Unbelievable.

So yeah, I've been given a number for the fraud line, which I need to ring today, but I've been told I could be on hold for around 45 minutes and the call costs 5p per minute, so I'm going into the branch to use their phone instead.

I am not happy.

I nearly forgot about this blog. I promise to keep it up now though.

So the second year of uni is now done and dusted, and the past few weeks have been spent moving back and forth from Lincoln where I'm at uni, Market Harborough which is home, and Cambridge which is where the other half lives when he's not at uni with me. And now, since we finished for summer all I can think about is money. I hate being a student. All I want to do is have money and travel, but all I seem to be spending money on is petrol. Apart from at the minute, cuz there's a ridiculous strike on by Shell lorry drivers and it's almost impossible to find a garage with any petrol left in it!

So yeah. I'm feeling pretty skint at the minute. I rely purely on my loan! I've got two jobs at the minute, one in Lincoln and one back at home, but I'm not getting enough shifts to make either feel worth while. And now me and the other half have decided that next summer, when we've finished uni, we'd like to do a bit of travelling around America. So I've now got my heart set on it. I have a year to get as much money together as possible. Ebay it is then!

Anyway, that's my rant about money over and done with. I'm gonna chill out for the rest of the evening now, back in Lincoln for a couple of nights and watching the O.C with Lucy!

Bed or not?

Just watched an episode of UFC with the other half. I'm convinced that he's slowly getting me hooked on it. I'm pretty certain that the blokes on there don't have a single brain cell between them, yet I still can't help but watch the fights. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

And now my new dilemma is the big boxing match that is on later tonight; Calzaghe Vs Hopkins. Normally I have no interest in boxing whatsoever, but again, whenever there's a big match going on, I can't help but feel the need to watch it. So do I stay up or not? By later on, I mean at least 3am, so chances are I will have probably already fallen asleep on the sofa by then anyway...(and so will the boyfriend, but he's convinced otherwise).

As long as I don't wake up with vertigo again in the morning, like I did this morning, then I don't mind!

Hey, my name's Sadie Geoghegan, and I've started this because I pretty much feel that I should! I'm a journalism student at the University of Lincoln and our tutors are constantly drilling it into our heads that we should all have our own blogs by now.

So here's mine.

I'm not really sure what I'm gonna be writing in it if I'm totally honest, maybe just a bit of everything, no particular theme, so excuse me if it's a load of rubbish. Please feel free to leave any comments...if anybody reads this...
